Chapter 8 A few hours later Jeremy stopped protested about carrying most of the buckets, but the Priest kept hushing him with the explaination that if he makes something happen, then he has to take responsibility for it. But both the Arch-mage and Druid were inpressed how quickly the Priest managed to sell them to those they met along the way to the town of hittinbottom. Hittinbottom was a town that made a cardboard box caked in mud, rained on and occupied by every venomous creature under the sun more appealing to stay in, infact, this is where most people believed thats where the name of the town originated from, but alas it was after the first mayor of the town couldnt think of a name and was promptly carried and thrown off the nearest cliff by its residents. As the triumvirate slid along what was concidered the main road of the town after the non-bucket rain that recently past storm that morning. "Now she knows that we know, she must know that we know she will have a difficult time trying to accomplish anything scheming with us around" Oktar blurted out, whilst trying to keep his footing, "Hhmm, I think her scheme as you call it is already in place, but without knowing what that bloody woman is upto, everything we could be doing now is a part of it and shes just mocking us!" Oldfried growled as he used the scythe to stablize his walking as best he could. Jeremy stayed a little behind, lost in thought about the conversation that is going on between the other two, it seemed to him whoever this witch was, she was trouble, and if they stopped her before, then she will want to stop them first. "So.." Jeremy said in a confident voice "Was she a friend of yours?" he continued, at that point the Priest and Arch-Mage stopped suddenly and turned to face the Druid at that remark, "Woah!" Oktar screamed as he lost his footing, grabbing onto the Priests arm, hoping to gain balance but instead made him lose his footing too. "Heaven damn you kid and hope all your children are hellspawns!" Oldfried shouted as he rolled around in the mud, trying to stand up along with the Arch-mage. "So, you knew her.." Jeremy mumbled to himself. Copyright © 2005 Keith Hammond
